Cubic | NEK Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Primary/Lead Instructor for Special Warfare Operational Design Course Personnel to provide subject matter expertise, creation and delivery of training content, courses, scheduling assistance, and oversight of government furnished property and/or materials in support of 1st Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne) (1st SWTG (A)) Special Activities Training to facilitate the global operational mission of 1st Special Forces Command, United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), and United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM). The qualified candidate will demonstrate a broad knowledge base and applied understanding of instructional design systems, subject matter expertise and support as it pertains to the Special Forces Intelligence Sergeants Course (18F), Advanced Tactical Technical Courses (ATTC), Special Warfare Operational Design Course (ODC), Special Warfare Network Development Course (NDC), Special Warfare Physical Surveillance Training, and Special Forces Technical Surveillance Training Courses that meet United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) special activities training requirements. Job Details:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Instructors are responsible for executing instruction in classroom, field and simulated environments.

  • Instructors will ensure each student gains the ability to effectively employ the knowledge and skills at time of CULEX.

  • Instructors will evaluate students’ performance and verify their competence in the skills instructed within the course, in accordance with Programs of Instruction (POI), Course Management Plans (CMP), instructor courseware and all applicable principles and procedures.

Skills/Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a field focused on national security, policy, or military history, with preference given to candidates with a Master’s Degree in a field focused on national security, policy, or military history.

  • Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies, Joint Advanced Warfighting School, Military War College, or a corresponding service equivalent.

  • Twelve (12) years progressive experience in strategic planning for Special Operations.

  • Five (5) years as a military instructor or education professional at a professional education institution.

  • Ten (10) years progressive experience in U.S. military Special Operations or maneuver, fires and effects units, is desired.

  • Experience with planning concepts of Unconventional Warfare (UW), Foreign Internal Defense (FID), Special Reconnaissance (SR), Direct Action (DA), and Special Activities in support of regional Combatant Commander's strategies and objectives, is preferred.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Must hold and maintain a Current Secret Security Clearance .

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years supporting Special Operations’ Forces, with experience in multidiscipline intelligence analysis, target development, force protection, and data mining.

  • In depth working knowledge of the Army intelligence enterprise and detailed knowledge of the intelligence agencies within the National Capitol Region.

  • Experience with Special Warfare Center & School (SWCS) Training Management System, is desired.

Other Qualifications :

  • Instructors and Managers may have to work outside in all types of weather (e.g., heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.). All employees shall be self-sustaining while on site (i.e., wearing appropriate clothing for cold, hot, and/or inclement weather, items for personal comfort and any food needed for the training period.)

  • Possess and maintain physical fitness & conditioning necessary to deliver this training.

  • Adaptability and ability to think and solve problems in unconventional ways; recognize, understand and navigate multiple social and/or foreign networks; proactively shape the environment or circumstances in anticipation of desired outcomes.

  • Must possess mature judgment skills, with studied opinions and ability to make sensible decisions based on personal experiences.

  • All personnel must have experience in handling and securing classified information.

  • All personnel must comply with security regulations imposed by the installation commander and/or the agency responsible for the project location.

Locations Include:

Ft Bragg, NC; Fayetteville, NC; Lewis-McCord, WA; Camp Dawson, WV; various other potential CONUS and OCONUS locations for short TDY trips.
