Cubic Global Defense (CGD), a leader in the Defense Services industry, is looking for an experienced, Electronics Technician (ET) III to join our professional team at Ft Bragg, NC providing support to the Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) Maintenance Program (ATMP).
The ET III position will perform all functions required to maintain and repair Ft Bragg electronic TADSS and associated equipment with the primary system of responsibility as the Integrated-Military Operations Training Systems (I-MTS) & Location of Miss and Hit (LOMAH) instrumentation.
Duties Include but are not Limited to:
Installation, integration, testing, and maintenance of I-MTS and LOMAH equipment.
Cross train and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on multiple subsystems such as audio-visual, mobile microwave transmission systems, and radios as directed by site lead and local supervisor
Perform all checks, services, troubleshooting, and maintenance actions to ensure operational status of the system and components.
Repair and replace failed components in field conditions.
Train new employees in the operations troubleshooting and repair of system components
Employ a variety of specialized test equipment and complex electronic schematics and diagrams in conducting fault isolation, and use the data gained through the troubleshooting/repair process to prepare and revise maintenance instructions and procedures and to recommend and implement manufacturer/engineering changes.
May supervise, provide direction and technical guidance to, and monitor lower level technicians’ work
Some travel may be required.
Minimum Job Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent.
5 - 7 years’ experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting
2 year Associate's Degree in electronics or related technical field preferred
Prior experience with I-MTS and LOMAH systems
Ability and knowledge to perform advanced troubleshooting, system connection testing, and system optimization.
Prior management or lead experience preferred
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Proficient with basic computer systems including Microsoft Outlook and Office applications and be able to work with a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, be detail oriented, and be adaptable in a high paced environment.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a valid driver’s license and Post driving privileges.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height (towers and phone poles).
