As Senior Manager of Finance, this leader serves as an important business leader in Clinical Workflow Solutions (“CWS”), which is the fastest growing business in Hill-Rom’s largest business segment. CWS is a fast-paced group with an entrepreneurial mindset that fuels innovative solutions in the healthcare setting, through cutting-edge uses of technology that leverages software and services offerings. This role partners directly and daily with CWS’ VP of US Customer Support and Commercial Ops to identify and drive growth strategies and compelling returns on investments. As a member of our largest business unit’s Finance Leadership Team - Patient Support Systems (“PSS”), this role is positioned to implement best Finance practices while developing Finance talent. The Senior Manager will also interact with and present to the VP US PSS Sales and Marketing monthly. This highly motivated manager will deliver both outstanding financial management and a business perspective in a collaborative environment to accelerate CWS’ growth trajectory even further.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for the financial management of the organization’s operations while developing insights gained from various analyses to optimize decision-making. This position will act as a business partner for all facets of the CWS business. This role is responsible for the management of Financial Planning, Analysis, Controls and Reporting for their organization, including leading all aspects of month-end close, reporting, forecasting, target setting, variance analyses, future year planning, and budgeting for his/her respective businesses.

  • Partner with the Vice President of CWS and his leadership team, focusing on developing and implementing strategies.

  • Present and explain monthly results to the Vice President of US Sales and Marketing and his leadership team. Work across disciplines such as Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales Operations and Finance to identify root causes of variances and potential counter measures that can be undertaken to improve performance.

  • Provide support in development of growth strategies, including partnering with Marketing/Product Management to understand market growth, share analysis, and new product development.

  • Lead financial planning, analysis, forecasting and capital request processes for his/her businesses.

  • Act as a liaison with accounting to ensure closing requirements are effectively completed in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

  • Identify, select and develop employees.Recruit and on-board top talent. Support, assess and evaluate employee contributions to accomplishing goals and objectives, growth and development through timely and candid reviews. Lead a positive, can-do high-performing team.

  • Complete special projects upon request, including financial modelling, strategic initiatives, system implementation, due diligence and business development activities.


  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or quantitative field

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience within a finance, financial planning & analysis, and/or reporting focused role with 3 years of supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP

  • Demonstrated aptitude for technical finance, accounting and process improvements with strong understanding of business issues.

  • Experience in P&L Management and strong understanding of variance analysis techniques

  • Very strong PC and software skills - Microsoft and Cognos/Hyperion products


  • JD Edwards or similar ERP system

  • CPA or similar designation

  • Advanced Degree

  • Experience within a Healthcare company
