The Risk Engagement Manager works closely with other project and engagement managers in PSD to manage and report on pipeline, project status, resources and revenue. Tracks and manages U.S. CECL and other key risk initiative engagements with customers and provides summary reporting to the management team. Program manages sales and business development efforts for broad range of consulting services, such as implementation delivery of risk solutions, standalone services for analytics, modeling, reporting and data management services. Additionally, supports IT administration, managed services, deployment engagements, business consulting and analytics advisory initiatives. Develops and maintains relationships with PSD and pre-sales to ensure a consistent, cohesive and comprehensive message to our customers. Works closely with Risk Business Consulting team to identify project milestones and best practices as well as consolidates, summarizes, and shares information on client engagements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage ongoing services engagements as well as advise on new services revenue resulting from continuous engagements with assigned customers

  • Tracks resource use (and billing where appropriate) for engagements, reporting on the financial side of implementations (e.g., actual expenses relative to budget) for services revenue

  • Manage services related revenue target including opportunity pipeline/funnel development, risk assessment, cost/benefit analysis as well as forecast signed services revenue and resource requirements for proposed services engagements

  • Supports the execution of services sales strategies to drive software-independent standalone services revenue

  • Responsible for success of analytics and reporting around services initiatives

  • Build long-term relationships through competence, trust and credibility with stakeholders and executives across the organization

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and others at an executive level

  • Oversee project management and delivery of ongoing implementations with assigned customers

  • Continuously build expertise and advisory skills beyond SAS technology on how to successfully enable and deliver risk services and implementation/delivery programs for customers

  • Requires the ability to travel to various customer/client sites as needed for support

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent knowledge of SAS solutions and services, architecture and resources

  • Clear understanding of software delivery and implementation cycles

  • Ability to initiate and lead projects as well as work effectively in a team environment and/or work independently

  • Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, decision making, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong knowledge of financial services risk management functional areas

  • Experience driving risk implementation teams in the financial services field with specific focus in risk management applications and services

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface positively with a variety of individuals and personalities

  • Ability to lead and manage a team of senior risk professionals outside of a direct reporting structure

  • Ability to work with people of varied technical backgrounds

  • Ability to organize projects, priorities, and time management

  • Ability to research and recommend solutions to complex problems

  • Ability to handle deadlines within a multitasking environment

  • Ability to travel
